HR Advisor (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Provide professional HR advice to managers on employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management.
• Coordinate the full recruitment cycle, from advertising and shortlisting to onboarding and probation reviews.
• Manage employee lifecycle administration, including contractual changes, pensions, and right-to-work documentation.
• Support absence management processes, occupational health referrals, and wellbeing initiatives.
• Maintain accurate HR systems and prepare data reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and drive employee engagement activities across the business.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar generalist HR position.
• Strong track record of managing employee relations cases through to conclusion.
• Deep knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Proficiency with HR systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Sheffield or Manchester for on-site work.

Nice to have

• Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience collaborating with Trade Unions.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or currently studying towards it.
