About the Role

The Product Owner will be responsible for all Tangem Pay (TP) related products , including payment flows, internal tooling, financial rails, and monitoring capabilities. The role focuses on product execution, reliability, and operational scalability , rather than commercial ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Product Leadership & Scope

• Own the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics across all Tangem Pay products , not limited to on/off-ramp or local payments.
• Ensure alignment between payment experiences, internal operations tooling, financial infrastructure, and monitoring platforms.
• Translate company-level strategy into executable product initiatives across TP squads.

Execution & Squad Collaboration

• Work across four core squads :
  1. Operations / Admin Panel Squad – internal tools for ops, support, and dispute handling.
  2. Payment Product Squad – user-facing payment flows and experiences.
  3. Financial Rails Squad – integrations with external payment schemes and providers.
  4. Monitoring Platform Squad – transaction monitoring, alerts, and operational visibility.
• Manage the full product lifecycle: discovery → specification → delivery → launch → iteration.
• Maintain clear documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint planning.

Payment Infrastructure & Financial Rails

• Drive integrations with local and global payment schemes (ACH, SEPA / SEPA Instant, PIX, UPI, SPEI, etc.) via API partners or direct connections.
• Collaborate with backend teams on scalable orchestration, settlement, reconciliation, and failure-handling flows.
• Ensure reliability and consistency of payment processing across regions.

Admin Panel & Operations Enablement

• Own the admin panel and internal tooling used by operations, compliance, and support teams.
• Ensure scalable workflows for:
  • Transaction reviews
  • Disputes and exceptions
  • Settlements and reconciliation
  • Customer support escalation
• Balance operational efficiency with compliance and risk requirements.

Compliance, Risk & Monitoring

• Partner with compliance teams to enable reusable and consistent KYC/KYB flows across TP products.
• Collaborate with risk and monitoring squads to support:
  • Fraud and AML monitoring
  • Alerting and case management
  • Audit-ready data and logs
• Ensure smooth partner audits and regulatory interactions.

Cross-Product & Platform Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with Wallet, Infrastructure, and Growth teams to ensure unified UX and interoperability.
• Align frontend and backend experiences across all TP-related products.

Requirements

Experience

• Hands-on experience with payment rails and financial infrastructure.
• Experience working with multiple squads in parallel.
• Strong background in API-driven, compliance-heavy systems.

Skills

• Deep understanding of payment systems, settlement cycles, and integration patterns.
• Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory constraints into clear product requirements.
• Strong communication skills across engineering, compliance, operations, and leadership.
• Data-driven approach to defining and measuring product success.

Success Metrics

1. Product Delivery & Coverage

• # of Tangem Pay payment schemes and platform components launched (e.g., ACH, SEPA Instant, PIX, UPI, SPEI, internal admin and monitoring tools) within planned timelines.
• Speed to launch new geographies, partners, and platform capabilities (time from partner or scope approval → production go-live).
• API and platform integration quality , measured by depth of supported features and reduction of engineering rework.

2. User Adoption & Platform Usage

• Monthly active users of Tangem Pay payment features across regions.
• Volume and value of transactions executed via Tangem Pay payment rails.
• Conversion rates from onboarding to first successful transaction.
• Cross-product activation (e.g., % of Tangem Pay users adopting multiple payment features; % of wallet users using Tangem Pay payment flows).

3. Operational Excellence

• Transaction success rate (STP – Straight Through Processing).
• Payment and platform failure rates and root-cause reduction over time (e.g., validation errors, compliance blocks, partner outages).
• Average processing time versus scheme and internal platform benchmarks (e.g., SEPA Instant < 10 seconds).
• Reduction of customer support and operations tickets related to Tangem Pay products.

4. Compliance & Risk Performance

• Reuse rate of unified KYC/KYB across Tangem Pay products (minimizing repeated onboarding).
• False-positive reduction in fraud/AML monitoring due to improved data quality and workflows.
• Regulatory incident rate (zero critical compliance breaches; smooth audits with partners).
