Senior Mechanical Engineer

What you will do

• Coordinate and deliver concept and basic engineering for waste handling systems.
• Prepare technical specifications for procurement packages including cranes and storage systems.
• Manage supplier selection, offer evaluation, and purchase order placement.
• Oversee supplier expediting, documentation control, inspections, and FATs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, civil, electrical, and process departments.
• Provide installation and commissioning support, including technical troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (FH/ETH or technical university).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial plant engineering.
• Fluent English required; German language skills are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally for supplier visits, FATs, and site support.
• Strong process and product knowledge in Waste Handling systems.
• Experience with crane systems and complex mechanical systems procurement.

• Background in Energy from Waste, power generation, or heavy industry.
