Software Developer (VBA Developer with Python Skills)

What you will do

• Write and debug complex VBA solutions in Microsoft Access and Excel.
• Contribute to the migration of Access-based solutions to SQL Server.
• Develop web solutions and scripts using Python.
• Perform ETL (enhance, transform, load) on complex datasets.
• Provide visualization and insights using Power BI.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure secure coding practices, including logging and auditing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning).
• Expertise in VBA applications for Excel and Access.
• Proficiency with Python for web development, data manipulation, and automation.
• Proficiency with Power BI (DAX, data modelling, reporting).
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch and version control systems (Git, TFS).
• English: B2 level or higher.
• Location: Must be based in The Hague, Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Microsoft .NET (C#) and ASP.NET Core.
• Knowledge of Linux shell and basic Linux concepts.
• Experience with graph databases (Neo4j).
• Knowledge of CI/CD systems such as Azure DevOps.
