What you will do

• Oversee and validate accounting close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations performed by outsourced teams.
• Monitor KPI and SLA metrics to ensure vendor performance and drive continuous process improvements.
• Perform in-depth P&L and balance sheet analysis to support business partners and resolve financial data anomalies.
• Act as the APAC GL lead, providing governance and subject matter expertise to internal and external teams.
• Collaborate with IA and SOX teams to ensure robust internal controls across all accounting processes.
• Support global initiatives to standardize and automate financial reporting workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
• Proven track record in project management and delivering complex initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems like Oracle.
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse, international stakeholder groups.
• Must be based in Shanghai, China.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Knowledge of APAC regional accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Experience with OBIEE Answers, PowerBI, or SmartView.
