What you will do
- Develop and maintain a strategic vendor base for prioritized product categories.
- Evaluate vendor capabilities regarding quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
- Support product line transitions from initial sourcing through costing, sampling, and laboratory testing.
- Analyze market landscape and portfolio data to identify and propose new product opportunities.
- Collaborate with merchandising, packaging, and quality teams to ensure enterprise objectives are met.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant buying experience in retail or 2+ years in project management/product development.
- Demonstrated ability to drive product implementation and strategy.
- Proficiency in analyzing sales reports and supplier proposals.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to travel overseas 15-30% of the time.
