Salary: $146,000 – $204,500

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and near real-time data pipelines.
• Develop foundational analytics- and AI-friendly datasets to improve data discoverability and trust.
• Write efficient, maintainable code and advanced SQL for data ingestion and transformation.
• Lead complex technical projects from design through delivery.
• Strengthen operational excellence through testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be based in Seattle, WA and able to work onsite at least three days a week.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data or software engineering.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with production-grade data pipelines in cloud environments.
• Experience with data modeling, schema design, and modern data access patterns.
• Proven ability to test, monitor, and improve data system reliability.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting AI/ML-oriented data use cases.
• Familiarity with cloud-native data tooling (Spark, Hive, Airflow, AWS).
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools like Cursor or Codex.
• Background in leading technical designs across multiple teams.
