Location: Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada (Onsite at hirify.global Vancouver Campus)

Compensation: $6,438.50 - $9,255.58 CAD Monthly

What you will do

• Conduct workplace inspections of research laboratories and operational sites to verify compliance with safety regulations.
• Provide expert consultation and guidance on chemical hazard recognition, assessment, and control.
• Develop and deliver training materials, including the Laboratory Chemical Safety Course.
• Investigate accidents and incidents related to hazardous material handling in collaboration with safety committees.
• Support compliance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and BC Fire Code regulations.
• Participate in the HSE emergency pager roster and maintain program documentation.

Requirements

• College diploma in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of WorkSafe BC regulations, WHMIS, TDG, and BC Fire Code.
• Ability to perform physical site visits, including climbing ladders and entering confined spaces.

Nice to have

• B.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous teaching or training experience.
