What you will do
- Design and build complex backend AI modules, including agentic workflows and multi-step reasoning chains.
- Architect and optimize RAG pipelines over unstructured, multi-modal data sources to ensure precise retrieval accuracy.
- Own end-to-end delivery of AI components from initial scaffold through deployment in client environments.
- Implement vector database solutions tailored to specific query patterns and latency requirements.
- Develop reusable internal tools and libraries by identifying patterns across client engagements to accelerate future delivery.
- Maintain production systems with structured logging, alerting, and cost monitoring.
Requirements
- Must be based in Colombia
- 3+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 1 year building and shipping production AI agents.
- Deep hands-on experience with vector databases, advanced RAG optimization, and agentic orchestration.
- Proficiency in Python and Node.js with strong command of backend architecture patterns.
- Infrastructure fluency including IaC tools (Terraform or Pulumi), Docker, and Kubernetes.
- English: C1 proficiency required
- Ability to earn Claude Architect certification within 60 days.
