Salary: $190,000 – $250,000

What you will do

• Build and grow customer-facing data products, including in-dashboard SQL querying and bulk data exports.
• Develop AI-powered and agentic analytics tools that allow users to query data using natural language.
• Design and maintain backend services, APIs, and query layers to handle large, fast-moving datasets in real time.
• Partner with product and design teams to translate business needs into performant, data-intensive features.
• Own the technical direction of customer-facing data products end to end.
• Mentor engineers and lead product-engineering initiatives across teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building data-intensive products or backend/full-stack services.
• Proficiency in a backend language (Python, Ruby on Rails, or Go) and comfort working across the stack.
• Experience building user-facing products or APIs backed by large datasets with a focus on performance and security.
• Working familiarity with SQL and analytical data stores like Snowflake or ClickHouse.
• Proven track record of leading product-engineering initiatives and mentoring others.
• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area for hybrid collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI/LLM-powered applications or agentic tooling.
• Proficiency with React.
• Experience with Google Cloud (GCP) and semantic layers.
