What you will do

• Administer Oracle databases on Exadata (ExaCC/on-premise) and Linux Standard Edition environments.
• Conduct proactive performance analysis using AWR, ADDM, and ASH to resolve database bottlenecks and tune SQL statements.
• Execute full-stack patching for Exadata and quarterly PSU/RU patching for Standard Edition databases.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, and PL/SQL for health checks, monitoring, and reporting.
• Implement and validate RMAN backup strategies and lead database recovery efforts during incidents.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams and mentor junior DBAs on best practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise hosting or managed services environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle Exadata (ExaCC, X8 or later).
• Proven experience managing Oracle Standard Edition (SE2) databases on RHEL/OEL Linux platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Oracle performance tuning using AWR, ADDM, ASH, and execution plan analysis.
• Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard in high-availability configurations.
• Proficiency in Bash/Shell scripting and PL/SQL.

Nice to have

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) 19c or later.
• Experience with Oracle 21c/23ai and Exadata-specific tooling (ExaCLI, CellCLI, OEDA).
• Familiarity with Azure cloud infrastructure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Grafana, or Datadog.
