Principal Database Administrator (Oracle/RDBMS): Managing and optimizing complex database systems for classified programs with an accent on performance tuning, security compliance, and system reliability. Location: Must be based onsite in State College, PA or Dulles, VA.

Salary: $74.00 - $107.00 per hour (W2 contract only).

What you will do

• Design, manage, and update backend databases and associated code.
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers to implement database modifications.
• Troubleshoot performance issues, replication, backups, and disaster recovery scenarios.
• Automate routine database administration tasks using Linux command line.
• Ensure database security controls, audit compliance, and data integrity.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly Clearance is mandatory.
• Must be a W2 employee; no C2C, 1099, or third-party agencies.
• No visa sponsorship or green card holders; US citizenship required for clearance.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Database Administration.
• Proficiency with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Intelligent Advisor.
• Current Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Knowledge of containerization or virtualization for databases.
• Coding proficiency in Python or Java.
• Experience with Spatial databases.
