Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle Cloud)

TL;DR

Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle Cloud): Maintaining and optimizing database architectures on Exadata and OCI to support corporate and municipal clients with an accent on high availability, scalability, and security. Focus on migrating on-prem databases to Oracle Gov Cloud, implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, and optimizing SQL performance.

Location: Must be locally based in Mesa, Arizona and work a hybrid model (3 days office, 2 days remote)

What you will do

• Design and implement database architecture on Exadata systems (X4-X10) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Manage installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades for Oracle databases (19c+).
• Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery using RMAN, Data Guard, and OCI-native tools.
• Optimize performance through SQL tuning, indexing strategies, and AWR/ASH report analysis.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Resource Manager.
• Lead on-premises Oracle DB migrations to OCI using Data Pump and GoldenGate.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience with a focus on on-prem and OCI.
• 3+ years of specific Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS administration and scripting (Python, Shell, Perl).
• Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Exadata.
• Must be locally based in Mesa, AZ; this position is not eligible for sponsorship.
• Ability to support operations in a 24X7 environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
