What you will do

• Develop elegant user experiences for geologists, geophysicists, and data scientists.
• Maintain and improve web applications for data upload, discovery, search, and visualization.
• Architect interactive 2D/3D geospatial visualizations, plotting, and data labeling tools.
• Modernize the frontend stack to standardize UIs and increase prototyping speed.
• Mentor junior developers and champion frontend best practices.
• Establish automated testing systems for user interfaces.

Requirements

• Experience architecting and maintaining complex frontend applications with rich UX.
• Ability to write performant, scalable, and production-quality code.
• Proficiency with data visualization libraries such as D3 and Leaflet.
• Strong skills in TypeScript, React, Node, and Python web frameworks (Django, Flask).
• Knowledge of classic frontend development including HTML and CSS.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with geospatial data and building map-based interfaces.
• Familiarity with Docker, AWS ECS, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks like Cypress or Selenium.
