What you will do

• Control station systems including steam generation, turbines, fuel handling, and air pollution control.
• Monitor plant status continuously and respond to alarms with appropriate corrective actions.
• Execute plant start-up and shut-down procedures to meet generating requirements safely.
• Train other operators on the operating principles of the power facility’s systems and steam cycles.
• Perform periodic surveillance tests and maintain detailed operational logs for faulty operation detection.
• Identify and correct abnormal operating conditions or emergency situations.

Requirements

• Valid Massachusetts Second Class Engineer’s License or higher.
• Associates Degree or equivalent technical training in power plant operations.
• Ability to read Blueprints, P&IDs, and understand schematic specifications.
• Legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship assistance.
• Ability to work in tight quarters, heights, and extreme temperature conditions.
• Compliance with OSHA clean-shaven requirements for occasional respirator use.
