What you will do

• Lead ML and software engineers in building large-scale indexing, retrieval, and ranking systems to deliver relevant ads.
• Collaborate with product teams to define the system architecture and long-term vision.
• Develop evaluation frameworks to enable rapid iteration and high-quality decision-making.
• Partner with Data Science and Product teams to define success metrics and measure outcomes.
• Build and grow a high-performing team by mentoring talent and shaping the overall ML strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of ML industry experience (or Master's + 7 years / PhD + 4 years).
• 1+ year of experience leading ML teams specifically focused on ranking or recommendations.
• Deep understanding of ML algorithms applied to recommender, ads, and search systems.
• Experience using LLMs for keyword extraction, description generation, and semantic relevance.
• Strong management, mentorship, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time recommendation or search ranking systems.
• Experience building LLM-based information retrieval or tagging systems.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and ranking infrastructures.
• Proficiency with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark ML, or scikit-learn.
