Salary: $206,300 – $288,800 per year

What you will do
- Define and execute the overarching data science strategy to drive premium growth, retention, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead, recruit, and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists and machine learning engineers.
- Embed AI-first thinking and implement LLM-based capabilities as a standard across the organization.
- Collaborate with senior executives and insurance business leaders to integrate data science into the core business.
- Manage the data science budget, define KPIs, and own the technical roadmap.
- Design and implement A/B tests and experiments to measure the impact of models and business tactics.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in data science, applied statistics, ML, or econometrics (15+ combining academia and industry).
- Hands-on expertise in statistical modeling, A/B testing, and data pipeline architecture.
- Working knowledge of modern LLM APIs, MLOps tooling, and cloud-native AI infrastructure.
- Proven track record of building and inspiring high-performing technical organizations.
- Must be based in the United States.
- Ability to communicate complex technical results to senior executives and board-level audiences.
Nice to have
- PhD in a technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience specifically within the homeowners insurance industry.
