What you will do

• Develop a native Windows desktop client using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and Go.
• Implement support for the latest Windows platform features while maintaining compatibility with older versions.
• Develop and optimize product features on Windows, focusing on UI components and platform integration.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests using xUnit and Microsoft Testing Platform v2.
• Contribute to common, cross-platform hirify.global code supporting macOS, mobile, and other core platforms.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and Windows platform capabilities.
• Proficiency in C# and modern native UI frameworks (WinUI, UWP, or WPF).
• Experience with general networking concepts such as DNS, VPNs, IP Networking, and routing.
• Must be based in Canada.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with WinUI 3 and Windows App SDK.
• Experience developing native Windows applications and services.
• Familiarity with Windows networking stack and Windows Filtering Platform.
• Knowledge of Windows security model, session isolation, and access tokens.
• Proficiency in Go.
