What you will do

• Own and evolve compute infrastructure provisioning across heterogeneous environments, including bare metal, VMs, containers, and cloud platforms.
• Tune system-level behavior across CPU, memory, storage, and network to optimize workload scheduling and resource utilization.
• Design repeatable, auditable provisioning and deployment workflows using IaC tools such as Terraform and Pulumi.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks regarding I/O throughput, network behavior, and provisioning performance.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to rapidly explore, build, and refine production-ready infrastructure.

Requirements

• Experience at the systems or infrastructure layer, including OS behavior and low-level system interactions.
• Proficiency in operating Kubernetes, including scheduling behavior and cluster lifecycle management.
• Experience with containerization, virtualization, and designing systems for portability across multiple environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed system behavior and how resource constraints affect scalability.
• Experience with system-level observability, profiling, or performance analysis.
• Must be based in California, USA.

Nice to have

• Exposure to query engines or analytical data platforms like Presto, Trino, or Spark.
• Background in big data infrastructure or high-volume data pipelines.
• Experience with eBPF, kernel performance tuning, or NUMA-aware hardware configuration.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure tooling.
