What you will do
- Design and build core zero-instrumentation APM components using eBPF and Go.
- Develop systems that automatically discover services, classify Layer 7 protocols, and extract RED metrics from plaintext and TLS traffic.
- Solve protocol parsing, encryption handling, TLS detection, and kernel-level performance challenges.
- Ensure compatibility across Linux kernel versions, distributions, and diverse customer environments.
- Lead design and implementation efforts, contribute to roadmap planning, and collaborate across teams to improve reliability and production scalability.
Requirements
- Significant experience in backend or systems-level development.
- Strong proficiency in Go or similar languages, including C or C++.
- Comfort working close to the Linux kernel; experience or strong interest in eBPF, networking, or observability tooling.
- Experience building or operating scalable systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and compatibility.
- Ability to use AI coding tools in daily workflows and validate, critique, and refine generated output.
Nice to have
- Experience with networking protocols, TLS internals, or distributed tracing.
- Experience contributing to AI-enabled products or improving software engineering practices with AI.
