What you will do

• Identify and execute codebase improvements to accelerate development via AI agents and automated workflows.
• Own end-to-end feature delivery from backend systems (Scala) to partner-facing surfaces.
• Architect scalable solutions and foundational patterns to efficiently launch new partner experiences.
• Collaborate directly with PMs and business partners to define and refine the technical roadmap.
• Drive decisions and consensus asynchronously through high-quality documentation and specifications.
• Operate within a low-process environment, focusing on trust, autonomy, and high-impact delivery.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada (Montréal or Québec).
• Ability to direct AI agents and automated workflows to build and maintain complex systems.
• Experience with distributed system development in Scala or an absolute willingness to learn.
• Strong product thinking, ensuring architecture is anchored in customer experience.
• Experience designing guardrails and feedback loops for reliable AI-assisted development.
• Ability to articulate technical trade-offs and the "why" behind architectural decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience building systems in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with GCP services.
