What you will do

• Deliver the regulatory engagement strategy for the US and drive the US State MTL licensing program.
• Manage license applications, business plan updates, and interface directly with US regulators.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and integrity risk reporting obligations for all US entities.
• Manage on-site exams and inspections in collaboration with Legal, Risk & Compliance colleagues.
• Advise the business on regulatory change initiatives and develop policies to manage compliance risk.
• Deliver the Compliance Monitoring Program and conduct employee training on regulatory obligations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 6 years of regulatory compliance experience in a financial institution, FinTech, or legal/consulting firm.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the San Francisco or New York office.
• Familiarity with financial regulatory laws, rules, and industry best practices across the US and Americas.
• Strong data proficiency with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
• Experience developing or maintaining compliance programs, specifically regarding payments activity.
• Superior communication skills for interacting with regulators and executive leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience dealing with State MTL Regulatory Authorities and other financial services regulators.
• Deep understanding of the NMLS online regulatory portal and associated systems.
