TL;DR
Shopify Developer (Shopify): Developing custom Shopify themes and functionalities from scratch with an accent on responsive design, site performance, and API integrations. Focus on translating UI/UX designs into high-converting e-commerce stores and optimizing sites for speed, scalability, and SEO.
Location: Must be based in Portugal, Spain, or Brazil. Supporting a team in the EST time zone.

What you will do
- Develop custom Shopify themes and functionalities from scratch, ensuring responsive design and optimal performance.
- Implement third-party Shopify apps and complex API integrations to enhance store functionality.
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to translate UI/UX designs into engaging websites.
- Maintain, debug, and optimize existing Shopify sites for speed, scalability, and conversions.
- Manage backend tasks such as product catalog updates, customer data integrations, and payment gateways.
- Conduct comprehensive QA and testing processes before deployment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing Shopify websites.
- Proficiency in Liquid templating language, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Shopify API integrations and custom app development.
- Knowledge of Tailwind CSS and version control systems (Git).
- Strong understanding of website optimization techniques and SEO best practices.
- Must be based in Portugal, Spain, or Brazil.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Shopify Plus and headless commerce architectures.
- Experience with GraphQL.
- Experience with frameworks like React or Vue.js.
- Previous experience in an agency or fast-paced e-commerce environment.
