TL;DR
Staff Software Engineer (Fullstack/Fintech): Building systems to facilitate high-value cross-border transfers for real estate, education, and investments with an accent on trust, security, and scalability. Focus on architecting 0-to-1 product experiences across web, mobile, and backend services while integrating AI-native development workflows.
Location: Hybrid (Seattle, WA). In-office expectation of at least 50% of the time monthly (typically 3 days a week).
Salary: $208,000–$260,000 base salary

What you will do
- Own technical design and architecture for complex, greenfield systems powering the High Value Send experience.
- Develop customer-facing web and mobile experiences using TypeScript, React, and React Native.
- Build and optimize scalable backend services in Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.
- Collaborate with product, design, and identity/trust teams to define and deliver trust-centric transfer flows.
- Implement AI-native workflows using agents and tools like Claude Code to accelerate software delivery.
- Mentor engineers and drive a culture of technical excellence and high architecture standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience building end-to-end systems.
- Expertise in TypeScript, React, and native mobile development (iOS/Android, React Native).
- Proficiency in modern backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.
- Proven experience designing distributed, large-scale domains with architecture segmentation.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Must be based in the US and able to work from the Seattle office at least 50% of the time.

- Experience in FinTech, payments, or other highly regulated industries where security and compliance are critical.
