Principal Structural Engineer (Offshore)

TL;DR

Principal Structural Engineer (Offshore): Leading and delivering structural integrity management projects for offshore structures with an accent on engineering assessments, risk-based inspection, and fitness-for-service. What you will do

• Lead and deliver structural integrity management projects for fixed (topsides and jacket) and floating offshore structures.
• Perform hands-on engineering assessments, including in-place, dynamic, seismic, and fatigue analysis.
• Conduct global ultimate strength-based pushover analysis and structural reliability analysis.
• Execute local topsides and jacket analysis, including fire, blast, dropped object, and vessel impact studies.
• Provide technical leadership to the engineering team in Aberdeen and ensure technical assurance for discipline tasks.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and assist in business development, tender management, and team building.

Requirements

• Masters degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 20 years of offshore structural engineering experience.
• Proficiency in SACS, Sesam, and USFOS software.
• Working knowledge of API and ISO offshore structural standards.
• Right to work in the UK and residency in Aberdeen or surrounding areas.
• Willingness to travel to site offices and offshore facilities for data collection and coordination.

Nice to have

• Structural Integrity Management (SIM) experience.
• Exposure to Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) strategies.
• Knowledge of cross-discipline areas such as metocean, geotechnical, corrosion, materials, and welding.
