Chief Financial Officer (SaaS)

Location: Remote-only and distributed, with strong daily overlap across EMEA and US Eastern time zones. International contractor arrangements are available; employee arrangements are available for candidates based in the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, or Australia.

Compensation: Up to US$312,000 gross cash per year, depending on location and payroll taxes. Equity grant valued at US$436,800 through $HOST tokens, vesting over four years.

What you will do

• Lead capital allocation and provide financial clarity for profitable growth and operational scaling.
• Build long-term business value and create liquidity opportunities for employees and investors.
• Represent finance with investors, partners, banks, and auditors.
• Build, hire, and lead a lean, AI-leveraged finance organization across an international group.
• Establish finance standards and strengthen trust and partnership across the business.
• Report to the CEO.

Requirements

• Experience leading finance through significant company scale and building lasting value for shareholders.
• Deep international, multi-entity, and multi-currency experience.
• Expertise in cross-border tax and compliance, including US indirect tax, EU VAT, and Australian GST.
• Recognized accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or a locally accredited CPA.
• Strong FP&A and financial modelling experience.
• Proactive communication, high ownership, autonomy, and ability to maintain strong daily overlap across EMEA and US Eastern time zones.

Nice to have

• SaaS-enabled marketplace experience, including forecasting transactional GBV and recurring revenue.
• Travel, hospitality, or proptech experience.
• Experience transforming a founder-run finance function into an institutional-grade organization.
