Senior QA Engineer (Python)

What you will do

• Evolve the test strategy for the Pricing domain, covering functional, integration, contract, and non-functional testing (performance, reliability).
• Design and maintain automated test suites for APIs, events, and end-to-end scenarios aligned with cloud deployments.
• Own and extend continuous testing within GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to enforce quality gates.
• Validate pricing and ML outputs for correctness, edge cases, and probabilistic forecasts.
• Partner with engineers to implement shift-left practices and perform root cause analysis for production defects.
• Mentor QA engineers and SDETs to establish coding conventions and shared ownership of quality frameworks.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or SDET roles in a SaaS environment.
• Strong programming skills in Python (C# is a plus) for test automation and engineering codebase contributions.
• Experience owning test automation and CI integration for backend or platform teams.
• Proficiency in API and UI testing, as well as database management using PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Candidates must be based in the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Exposure to ML and MLOps testing, including model validation and inference pipeline monitoring.
• Experience with pytest, Playwright, Postman, Newman, or Locust.
• Familiarity with observability practices (logs, metrics, traces) for failure diagnosis.
• Experience with DBT or data testing frameworks.
