Senior Digital Business Analyst (Energy)

TL;DR

Senior Digital Business Analyst (Energy): Supporting technology and process initiatives across a trading business with an accent on middle office change and digital transformation. Focus on improving trade lifecycle visibility, P&L and exposure reporting, and optimizing workflows between trading and downstream functions.

Location: London (3 days per week onsite)

Salary: £80,000–£85,000 per annum plus bonus

What you will do

• Partner with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams to translate business needs into practical, data-driven solutions.
• Improve trade lifecycle visibility, P&L and exposure reporting, operational controls, and reconciliations.
• Manage the full application lifecycle, from requirements definition and enhancement oversight to ensuring alignment with operational priorities.
• Facilitate workshops and prioritize enhancements while managing dependencies across interconnected trading systems.
• Support the evolution of applications into cloud-native, data-centric architectures.

Requirements

• Strong experience in an IT-focused environment within energy or commodities trading.
• Solid understanding of middle office processes and the technology landscape that supports them.
• Location: Must be based in or able to commute to London for 3 days per week onsite.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to operate within a fast-paced trading organisation.

Nice to have

• Experience with ETRM systems.
