TL;DR

Solution Business Analyst (Pre-sale Focus) (Software Engineering): shaping early-stage client engagements in digital transformation, data, and AI to define solution direction and value propositions with an accent on bid management and commercial proposal preparation. Focus on translating complex business needs into executable roadmaps and influencing deal outcomes through strategic stakeholder management.

Location: Must be based in the UK; readiness to travel to London for business-related visits is required.

What you will do

  • Analyze incoming leads and define the scope, goals, and deliverables for sophisticated IT solutions as part of commercial proposals.
  • Collaborate with sales, architects, and delivery teams to shape value propositions for digital transformation, data, and AI projects.
  • Lead product ideation and scope framing workshops with clients, both online and onsite.
  • Translate complex business problems into visualized, executable roadmaps and functional decompositions.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals and solution visions to high-level client stakeholders.
  • Transition knowledge and documentation from the pre-sales phase to the project execution team.

Requirements

  • Over 8 years of experience in business analysis roles.
  • Must have experience working on both the supplier side and in internal business roles as a BA.
  • Proficiency in BA techniques and AI tools for requirements validation (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
  • Expert knowledge of non-functional requirements and the full cycle of requirements elicitation.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one target domain: insurance, energy, hospitality, or life-sciences.
  • Fluent English (written and oral) and strong business acumen.

Nice to have

  • Experience with lean product development and design thinking methodology.
  • Understanding of service-oriented business and service development methodology.
