What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, Scala, Spark, and PySpark within the Azure ecosystem.
• Develop reusable data engineering templates, frameworks, and tooling to support distributed data teams.
• Drive standardization of best practices across data ingestion, transformation, and serving layers.
• Implement modern data engineering practices, including CI/CD, data quality validation, testing, and observability.
• Collaborate with Platform, ML Engineering, and Security teams to ensure secure and cost-efficient infrastructure on Azure.
• Optimize data workflows for maximum performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Strong experience building scalable data platforms as a Data Engineer.
• Deep expertise in Azure (ADF, ADLS, Databricks) and Delta Lake.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Scala (PySpark/Spark) for large-scale data processing.
• Hands-on experience with dbt for transformations and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end data lifecycle and data modeling.
• Location: Must be based in or be able to commute to London (minimum 2 days/week in office)
