Senior ML Ops Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote; candidates based in Poland, the United Kingdom, or Croatia

What you will do

• Maintain, extend, and develop data and ML workflows for high-velocity data.
• Build interfaces and systems that enable ML engineers and researchers to create datasets on demand.
• Define data storage and processing strategies for reliable, scalable data platforms.
• Collaborate with ML, backend, and frontend teams on platform development.
• Reduce time to deploy dashboards and ML models.
• Develop pipelines and software for large datasets under demanding performance constraints.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience designing data stores, feature engineering solutions, and reliable high-load data pipelines.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience outside data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Kafka and distributed data systems.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database knowledge; ClickHouse experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, containerization, microservice design, CI/CD, and orchestration platforms.
• Ability to make independent decisions about data processing strategy and architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience collaborating across ML, backend, and frontend teams.
• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals, model training, inference, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
