What you will do

• Design and ship recommendation systems to help users discover relevant merchants, products, and offers.
• Improve smart search functionality, specifically relevance, ranking, intent detection, and query understanding.
• Own the full ML lifecycle: data sourcing, feature engineering, training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Define and track key success metrics such as CTR, conversion, nDCG, and MRR.
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, Data, and AI teams to shape the shopper experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer with a track record of deploying models in production.
• Hands-on experience with recommendation systems (collaborative filtering, content-based, or hybrid approaches).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with product-facing ML such as search, ranking, or personalization.
• English proficiency (CV must be submitted in English).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with search and information retrieval (BM25, embeddings/KNN, OpenSearch, or Elasticsearch).
