What you will do

• Prepare detailed substation physical design drawings including one-line diagrams, general arrangements, and grounding plans.
• Produce technical deliverables such as AC/DC schematics, relay diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Create and maintain 3D models and design packages using Inventor, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Develop bills of materials based on project specifications.
• Coordinate with physical, protection, and controls teams to ensure design consistency.
• Review vendor documentation and ensure constructability of all design outputs.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada
• Associate’s degree in Drafting, Design, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 2+ years of experience in substation physical design.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
