What you will do
- Recruit, mentor, and grow a diverse, high-performing engineering team focused on rider growth.
- Partner with Product, UX, and Data Science to define and execute the rider acquisition and retention roadmap.
- Architect scalable backend systems and retention frameworks, including subscription and loyalty programs.
- Collaborate with ML scientists to design low-latency promotional engines that shape rider demand.
- Drive a quantitative engineering culture through robust A/B testing and experimentation practices.
- Ensure the scalability, latency, and reliability of services integrated with core fleet and routing engines.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience managing and scaling high-performing software engineering teams.
- 6+ years of hands-on development experience in distributed backend systems (Go, Java, C++, or Python) or B2C mobile apps.
- Deep experience with product experimentation, A/B testing, and statistical analysis.
- Fluency in data analytics tools like SQL and Python/Pandas.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high engineering standards.
Nice to have
- Extensive experience scaling B2C products across the full LTV lifecycle.
- Proven success architecting ML-driven systems for real-time offer surfacing and ranking.
- Strong ability to translate business and economic goals into technical requirements.
