What you will do

• Architect and develop complex web services and APIs for geoscience data management.
• Optimize data models to support high-volume transactional and analytical workloads.
• Manage the end-to-end release lifecycle, including CI/CD pipeline maintenance and observability.
• Lead technical design reviews and provide mentorship to team members.
• Define and execute project plans, managing risks and stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate emerging technologies and research insights into the platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and JSON.
• Experience with enterprise-scale data solutions and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the Toronto office.

Nice to have

• Experience with streaming technologies like Kafka or Event Hub.
• Background in AI/ML workflow integration.
