Principal Senior Vulnerability Research Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite in Annapolis Junction, Maryland; place of performance is Maryland.

Salary: $122,000–$253,000 per year, based on qualifications, experience, and expertise.

What you will do

• Research and identify zero-day vulnerabilities using advanced systems.
• Analyze, design, and identify programmatic behaviors.
• Develop, test, and debug software applications.
• Research vulnerability techniques and propose new design ideas.
• Apply program analysis, reverse engineering, debugging, and fuzzing methods.

Requirements

• 12 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 10 years with a master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Solid software development knowledge and proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
• Experience with program analysis, reverse engineering, and tools such as angr, BAP, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, gdb, Ghidra, or WinDbg.
• Knowledge of Windows or Linux, x86/x64 assembly, debugging, and fuzzing.
• TS/SCI clearance with CI poly is preferred.

Nice to have

• Understanding of operating system internals, network protocols, socket programming, and exploit mitigations such as DEP and ASLR.
• Experience with exploit development, Hack The Box, and reading or writing assembly.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications, including OSCP, OSED, OSEE, GPEN, GWAPT, GXPN, or CISSP.
