Frontend Developer

TL;DR

Frontend Developer (React/Next): Build pixel-accurate, accessible, responsive interfaces from Figma designs with an accent on modern CSS/SCSS craftsmanship and interactive UI development in Vanilla JavaScript, using React/Next when needed. Focus on wiring UI into Contentful, Drupal, and WordPress, solving concurrent front-end feature work, and using AI tooling (Claude) to debug and scaffold repetitive parts.

What you will do

• Build pixel-accurate, accessible, responsive interfaces from Figma designs.
• Write clean, handcrafted CSS/SCSS using modern layout primitives, using a framework only when a project calls for it.
• Develop interactive UI in Vanilla JavaScript and use React/Next where it fits.
• Integrate front-end work with Contentful, Drupal, and WordPress and ramp into each platform quickly.
• Use AI tooling (Claude) to debug faster and scaffold repetitive parts of builds.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with designers, project managers, and backend developers to ship features.

Requirements

• Based in the United States and eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• 3+ years building modern, responsive web user interfaces.
• Strong Vanilla JavaScript fundamentals plus working proficiency with React/Next.
• Expertise in modern CSS/SCSS best practices (semantic, maintainable, accessible).
• Comfort translating Figma designs into pixel-accurate, accessible, responsive interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of Contentful, Drupal, or WordPress (strong plus).

Nice to have

• Experience working at a digital agency.
• Familiarity with modern animation libraries.
• Knowledge of PHP.
• Comfort using AI coding tools (Claude) to debug and scaffold.
• Experience with modern front-end build/bundling tooling (e.g., Vite, esbuild, Webpack) and working knowledge of git.
