What you will do

• Respond to emergency (911) and non-emergency medical calls across the province.
• Operate ambulance and support vehicles to access communities efficiently.
• Participate in community-based paramedic programs and collaborative emergency centres.
• Provide critical care support via ground, helicopter, or fixed-wing transport.
• Collaborate with the Medical Communications Centre to manage patient transport logistics.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited paramedic program.
• Must be eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Paramedicine.
• Must hold a valid Class 4 Driver's License or equivalent.
• Must provide a five-year driving abstract dated within 90 days.
• Must pass a criminal background check and vulnerable sector search.
• Must provide proof of successful PC-PAT/OPPAT physical abilities testing completed within the last 12 months.
