What you will do
- Consult with Science, Creative, Account, and Planning teams to develop medical content for digital and print media.
- Identify new clinical developments and apply disease-state knowledge to drive client business growth via promotional and unbranded initiatives.
- Analyze clinical data, conduct literature searches, participate in medical conferences, and perform competitive analyses.
- Engage and inform healthcare professionals and clients, including medical, legal, and regulatory groups.
- Collaborate with clients on deliverables and strategic recommendations; guide creation of clinically cogent promotional materials.
- Manage and mentor junior Medical team members; improve medical literacy across agency groups.
Requirements
- Advanced clinical/scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) with at least seven years of experience in an agency (agency experience ideal) or the pharmaceutical industry supporting marketing/medical communications.
- Proven ability to communicate medical advances to different audiences and quickly ramp up on new therapeutic areas.
- Ability to lead and execute content development, including data analysis, across complex projects with minimal review.
- Ability to independently and accurately incorporate strategic concepts into projects and guide others to do the same.
