TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (AI): Building and prototyping early-stage AI-driven products and agentic systems with an accent on rapid experimentation and LLM integration. Focus on designing autonomous agents, validating hypotheses through customer feedback, and adopting agentic coding tools.

Location: Hybrid (Cambridge, UK). In-office expectation: once every two weeks.

Salary: £55,000–£75,000

What you will do

  • Work in the Foundry innovation incubator to identify and validate new product opportunities.
  • Develop rapid prototypes across a varied tech stack including C#, TypeScript, and Python.
  • Build agentic systems using frameworks such as LangGraph or Microsoft Agentic Framework.
  • Conduct customer interviews and competitor teardowns to validate market fit and user value.
  • Help shape and implement the company's adoption of agentic coding and AI development tools.

Requirements

  • Proven extensive experience using AI coding tools productively and safely.
  • Strong software design and coding skills in C#, TypeScript, or Python to review AI-generated code.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM capabilities and building agentic systems.
  • Experience with lean startup principles and running rapid experiments to validate ideas.
  • Ability to engage directly with customers and communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Must be based in or able to commute to the Cambridge office once every two weeks.
