What you will do

• Make final cuts of video podcasts from transcripts and producer rough cuts.
• Color correct and optimize footage for digital and broadcast platforms.
• Use Pro Tools and/or Audition to de-noise audio for video cuts and support audio mix preparation.
• Set up and troubleshoot in-person and remote interview recording to ensure high-quality capture.
• Ingest media files, prepare edit sessions, and ensure final delivery to spec.
• Collaborate on graphics packages, upload to MPX/YouTube distribution, and cut/mix clips for social media and host-read ads.

Requirements

• Work authorization: unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Location: must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Minimum 5 years of video and audio production experience.
• Strong technical understanding of codecs, containers, and frame rate.
• High-level expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and Descript.
• Experience with Pro Tools and/or Audition; ability to handle multiple projects under deadlines.

Nice to have

• Livestream/video switching knowledge (TriCaster, vMix).
• Experience collaborating with a team on shared video sessions.
• Strong camera operation knowledge (DSLR, mirrorless, iPhone/prosumer).
• Interest in news and politics and knowledge of journalistic best practices.
