What you will do

• Manage, maintain, and optimize network systems within a 24/7 operational environment to ensure high availability.
• Configure and manage a variety of network devices, including routers and switches.
• Utilize Wireshark and SolarWinds to proactively monitor performance and identify potential issues.
• Implement and enforce stringent network security protocols and industry best practices.
• Conduct in-depth troubleshooting for complex network issues related to TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of network services.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security).
• Foundational understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN management, and routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.
• Ability to work Back-End Day shift (0645–1900, Thursday–Saturday with rotating Wednesdays).
• High School diploma with 3-6 years of commensurate experience.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), or federal maritime mission programs.
• Additional networking certifications such as Network+, CCNA, or CCNP.
• Experience maintaining enterprise networks and datacenter environments.
