What you will do
- Design and build full-stack features in Ruby on Rails, including complex form flows and user-facing dashboards.
- Develop RESTful APIs and manage background job processing pipelines using Sidekiq.
- Build accessible, standards-compliant frontend experiences using React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Conduct thorough pull request reviews and mentor peers to elevate team technical expertise.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure a secure, compliant development environment meeting federal and state contractor requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails building maintainable full-stack applications.
- Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern CSS.
- Experience with complex data modeling and integrations with third-party or government data systems.
- Knowledge of web accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.1+).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in federal or state government technology contracting environments.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST/FISMA, or HIPAA.
- Experience with authentication systems (OAuth, SSO, role-based access control).
