TL;DR

Salary: $120,588 – $195,955

What you will do

  • Design and build full-stack features in Ruby on Rails, including complex form flows and user-facing dashboards.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and manage background job processing pipelines using Sidekiq.
  • Build accessible, standards-compliant frontend experiences using React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Conduct thorough pull request reviews and mentor peers to elevate team technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Ensure a secure, compliant development environment meeting federal and state contractor requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails building maintainable full-stack applications.
  • Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern CSS.
  • Experience with complex data modeling and integrations with third-party or government data systems.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.1+).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in federal or state government technology contracting environments.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST/FISMA, or HIPAA.
  • Experience with authentication systems (OAuth, SSO, role-based access control).
