Assistant Project Manager (Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Coordinate delivery plans, programme look-aheads, and daily coordination for trenchless crossings.
• Track project progress, constraints, and report status updates to the Project Manager.
• Manage information flow between designers, subcontractors, and site teams regarding drawings and permits.
• Support the preparation and review of RAMS, permits, and safe-system-of-work documentation.
• Liaise with asset owners (highways, utilities, Network Rail) for permits and method approvals.
• Measure subcontractor works and support valuation inputs and resource planning.

Requirements

• Experience in infrastructure or utilities projects (civils, tunnelling, pipelines, or similar).
• HNC/HND or degree in a construction/engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ability to understand construction drawings and RAMS.
• Valid CSCS card (Managers/Professionals preferred).
• Full UK driving licence.

Nice to have

• Experience specifically supporting trenchless works (microtunnel, HDD, auger bore).
• Familiarity with permit processes, CEMPs, or third-party approvals.
• SSSTS/SMSTS certifications.
