Vice President, Model Risk Governance (Fintech)

What you will do

• Establish, maintain and enforce the Model Risk Management (MRM) framework and governance structure.
• Engage with regulators on model risk topics and support advocacy discussions and documentation requests.
• Evaluate compliance with regulatory rules and manage new activity impact assessments.
• Oversee model performance monitoring and manage validation findings, including tracking and escalation.
• Maintain model inventory data integrity and process classifications, changes, and deactivations.
• Collaborate with Technology to improve and automate model risk management workflows.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in Model Risk, including governance, development, or validation.
• Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing a team.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication for interacting with senior management and regulators.

Nice to have

• Programming skills in object-oriented languages and scripts such as SQL, Access, or VBA.
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, hard sciences, financial engineering, or finance.
