Junior Legal Advisor (Intellectual Property)

Location: Madrid, Spain, with a hybrid model requiring 2 days in the office and 3 days remotely.

What you will do

• Provide legal advice on intellectual and industrial property matters involving editorial, educational, and digital content.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements for the acquisition, assignment, and licensing of intellectual property rights.
• Support commercial, services, SaaS, development, maintenance, and supplier agreements.
• Advise Editorial, Digital, Commercial, Marketing, Procurement, Technology, and Operations teams on contractual matters.
• Support digital and technology projects, including the intellectual property impact of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with Legal teams in Spain, Italy, and other Group countries on cross-functional matters.

Requirements

• Degree in Spanish Law.
• At least 2 years of professional legal experience with meaningful exposure to intellectual property; this is not an entry-level position.
• Experience drafting and reviewing contracts.
• Knowledge and professional experience in Intellectual Property and Industrial Property.
• Native or bilingual Spanish and advanced English are required.
• Strong legal analysis, drafting, communication, organisation, prioritisation, and digital awareness skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in Intellectual Property.
• Training or experience in Digital Law, Technology, and Artificial Intelligence.
• Experience in publishing, education, media, digital content, or a law firm focused on Intellectual Property, Digital, or Technology Law.
