What you will do

• Lead the development of first-principles understanding of HGA processes, linking materials and mechanical behavior to performance.
• Translate physical mechanisms into actionable KPIV definitions and process strategies.
• Develop analytical and computational models, including transfer functions and interaction effects, linking KPIVs to KPOVs.
• Create custom analysis tools using Python and MATLAB for data processing and modeling.
• Partner with process architects, metrology, and software engineers to ensure cross-disciplinary alignment.
• Guide early-stage experiment design (Pre-M0 and M0) to maximize learning efficiency.

Requirements

• Background in Hard Disk Drive (HDD) manufacturing or precision assembly processes.
• Experience in process development, materials, or manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of data analysis, statistics, and structured problem-solving methods such as DOE and Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with mechanical behavior, materials interaction, and reliability in assembly processes.
• English proficiency (written and spoken) for effective collaboration with global and cross-functional teams.
