What you will do

  • Provide global environmental regulatory guidance for manufacturing facilities, research locations, and corporate functions.
  • Perform independent air emission calculations to support the environmental permitting process.
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate environmental permit applications and regulatory positions on behalf of the business.
  • Lead and participate in multi-media environmental regulatory compliance audits.
  • Develop site and business-level environmental procedures and provide expertise for Management of Change (MOC) reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel to interpret and communicate environmental laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Environmental Engineering strongly preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in a related environmental position.
  • Must be based in or able to work in Des Moines, Iowa, United States.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and workstation applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to periodically work at elevated surfaces and in grain or chemical handling environments.
  • Willingness to travel periodically (10% to 30%).
