What you will do

• Build advanced application infrastructure to reduce maintenance costs and accelerate innovation across the organization.
• Solve complex, organization-wide challenges using distributed systems, vector databases, and data pipeline solutions.
• Design and implement production-grade streaming ingestion using Flink, focusing on low-latency and high-throughput.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to analyze requirements and produce technical solutions and execution plans.
• Conduct critical code, design, and performance reviews to raise the technical bar within the team.
• Coordinate with global engineering and infrastructure teams to translate business needs into robust engineering solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend development experience.
• Proven track record of developing large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Java (Kotlin), C++, or Python.
• In-depth knowledge of storage and streaming using PostgreSQL or Kafka.
• Must be based in Singapore.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architecture and parallelization.
• Prior work with large-scale data processing pipelines (Spark, Flink) and ElasticSearch.
• Exposure to microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience integrating AI-powered search enhancements such as embeddings or semantic search.
