Senior Solutions Architect (AI/ML & Cloud)

Senior Solutions Architect (AI/ML & Cloud) (AWS/MLOps): Designing and delivering scalable, secure cloud-native platforms and AI/ML systems for the Department of War's CDAO with an accent on MLOps, DevSecOps, and AWS modernization. Focus on integrating advanced analytics into mission workflows and ensuring Zero Trust security in complex defense environments.

Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid/Onsite at the Pentagon). Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoW Secret clearance or higher.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and delivery of cloud-native solutions and AI-enabled systems for federal and defense environments.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities, MLOps processes, and advanced analytics into enterprise mission workflows.
• Guide AWS cloud migration, modernization, and the adoption of scalable, resilient platforms.
• Architect DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Kubernetes.
• Establish engineering standards for automated testing, QA, and system reliability.
• Apply Zero Trust principles and federal cybersecurity requirements throughout the solution lifecycle.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology solutions, with 3+ years in federal or defense environments.
• U.S. Citizenship and an active DoW Secret (or higher) clearance.
• Proven expertise in AWS cloud migration and AI/ML deployment using Bedrock, SageMaker, or similar.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerized platforms, and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong background in DevSecOps methodologies and automated testing frameworks.
• AWS Professional-level and CompTIA Security+ certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

Nice to have

• Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) initiatives in secure federal cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Amazon EKS and large-scale Kubernetes operations.
• Experience with DevSecOps toolchains such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with large-scale testing, evaluation, modeling, simulation, or mission engineering environments.
